Marketing Assistant at The Orchard

Reporting to: Marketing Director, General Manager and Managing Director

Responsibility:  The Marketing Assistant will be required to support the ongoing implementation of The Orchard Integrated Marketing Programme as directed by the Management. In addition, the individual will be required to provide ongoing  Web, and Administrative support to The Orchard Mgt team, to facilitate the completion of key projects and the Company`s goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Provide support to the Marketing Director to facilitate the successful implementation of the Orchard Marketing Strategy inclusive of:

  • WebSite Content:  Ensuring that all Products and Content as displayed on the Orchard Website is accurate and up to date, supporting the E-commerce strategy of the Company.
  • Social Media Updates: As dictated by Mgr, the Marketing Assistant will be required to support the Social Media Campaign through securing relevant images and content.
  • Event Support: Ongoing support of all Events as included in the Marketing Programme inclusive of Managing Bookings / RSVPS and relevant logistics.
  • In-store Signage: As agreed by Mgt, the Marketing Assistant will be required to ensure that all NEW SEASONAL signage is printed and installed in-store in a timely and efficient fashion.
  • PR Support: From time to time, the Marketing Assistant will be required to support the Marketing Director with the roll out of the PR activity for The Orchard.
  • Collateral Control: Ensure that all Collateral / Marketing Materials are carefully stored and perform regular Stock Checks to ensure adequate supply. Support the Brand Manager with the development of Marketing Materials & Collateral.
  • Trade Shows: Provide Administrative Support to the Brand Manager relating to all Trade Show Activity.
  • Price to Spy: Perform ongoing Price To Spy analysis and reverting with feedback to the Team
  • Database Control: Maintain and update the Company Database on a continuous basis ensuring GDPR guidelines are adhered to.
  • Perform any relevant duties as outlined in relation to the fulfilment of the Brand Strategy.

2. Provide Administrative Support to Senior Mgt and the extended Ambassador Team inclusive of:

  • Booking of Flights / Hotels / Tickets as deemed necessary by the team
  • General Administration duties
  • Preparing, formatting and editing a range of documents as required by Management
  • Arranging Meetings, Conferences etc on behalf of the Management team
  • Undertake and participate in designated Training as proposed by Management.

Retail Manager for the Pet Store at The Orchard

Reporting to: General Manager and Managing Director

Responsible for sales, customer service and profitability of the Pet Store at The Orchard. Manages the team within the Pet Store according to The Orchard Values, standards, policies and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day operations of the department with a focus on achieving agreed KPIs including: Stock Control / Sales Targets / Future Planning / Events / Costs Control / Employees / Health and Safety
  • Purchase of goods / materials / services in line with agreed Financial targets, space allocation and sales objectives
  • Organises and distributes the work of the Pet Shop team, sets priorities and keeps an overview of the tasks to be accomplished in accordance with Top Management.
  • Ensures the Merchandising and Display of the Department is to the highest standards.
  • Maintains the highest standards of customer service in line with The Orchard philosophy, by providing the best shopping experience for each customer.
  • Collaborate with the Management team to host a series of Pet related events at The Orchard.
  • Maintain long term collaborative relationships with Suppliers and all relevant stakeholders.

Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements:

  • Proven Passion for Retail and Customer Service
  • Appreciation for Pets is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to be proactive to drive sales by creating selling opportunities

Retail Store Manager at The Orchard

Responsible for optimisation of sales, traffic flow, employee performance and customer service on a daily basis at The Orchard.  The ideal candidate must be action orientated and results driven with an have an appreciation for the highest standards of Customer Service and Employee Training / Development.

  • Achieve a series of KPIS as follows: Sales Target by Department, Average Rate of Conversion, Employee Retention, Sales per sq foot, Customer Experience Standards and Stock Control.
  • Focus on the optimisation of traffic and conversion whilst optimising profitability across department.
  • Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent Customer Service and Store Layout.
  • Maintain the highest standards of visual merchandising across the store and develop Planograms designed to maximise on sales per area / per sq foot.
  • Responsible for the daily Management of the complete in-store Sales team including: Recruitment / Training / Appraisals / Staff Rotas / Supervision etc
  • Complete Team Appraisals on an ongoing basis.
  • Implement an Employee Training Programme for all new recruits and any other training as required by the Sales Team.
  • Establish Policies and Procedures to deal with Customer Complaints effectively.
  • Implements and Monitor Promotions / Season Campaigns across the store in a timely and effective fashion as agreed with the Management team.
  • Ensure The Orchard fulfils all Health and Safety Guidelines
