Sealy is the biggest bed brand in the world and has been steadily growing for over 100 years. We can trace our origins back to the late nineteenth century and the original cotton-filled mattress produced by Daniel Haynes in the town of Sealy, Texas.
In the UK, Sealy beds are hand-made in Cumbria, on the edge of the beautiful Lake District and we believe it is it is important for us to try to keep it that way! Sealy are a Carbon Neutral company and are also Zero to Landfill literally nothing from our factory goes to landfill.
In 2013, Sealy Inc merged with Tempur in the USA to create a company that operates in over 50 countries worldwide. Our beds and mattresses can be found on every continent; everywhere from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, and South Korea to here in the UK where we have operated for the last forty years.
We know a thing or two about handcrafting luxuriously comfortable beds at reassuringly affordable prices. After all, Rest Assured craftsmen have been doing just that since 1898. That’s well over 115 years of bed making experience that has been proudly handed down through the generations. With experience comes understanding and innovation. Today, we are still committed to producing pocket spring mattresses – we believe they are unrivalled for comfort and support, but we are also embracing change. We’re working to develop more sustainable products that have a positive impact on our environment and wellbeing.
At Rest Assured we also work hard to reduce our impact on the environment and are proud members of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) C104461, an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests.
